Metals
Various materials for every application
The FLUX range offers different variants for nearly every performance requirement.
-
S
S = Stainless steel (316 Ti)
- Used with shafts, pumps, housings and hand nozzles
- Used with highly flammable media, acids and alkalis, solvents and for pharma/food applications
- Weldable
- Electrically conductive
- Very often used in the chemical industry
-
HC
HC = Hastelloy C (24610)
- Highly corrosion-resistant nickel-molybdenum alloy
- Used with shafts and pumps
- Used with acids and alkalis and very aggressive media
- Weldable
- Electrically conductive
- Very expensive (factor 3.5 at drum pumps compared to stainless steel)
-
Al
Al = Aluminium (AlMg5)
- Used with pumps and hand nozzles
- Mostly used for oils (diesel, hydraulic oil), but also for neutral, not-flammable media
- Weldable
Must not be used for highly flammable media as an electrically non-conductive oxide layer may form on the surface of the pump!
-
GG
GG = Grey Cast Iron
- Used for housing of air-operated diaphragm pumps
- High surface hardness
- Especially used for abrasive media
-
Ti
Ti = Titanium
- Used with shafts of drum pumps
- Good resistance against very aggressive media
- Used with hydrofluoric acid, iron-III-chloride or in case HC is only limitedly resistant
